i am a sixty four year old widow.i have one son who is married and has recently shifted from abroad along with my daughter in law and granddaughters. my daughter in law [dil] is fortyone years old and my grand daughters are nineteen and seventeen .though i am reasonably broadminded i am extremely upset with the way my dil and grand daughters dress.they seem to like to expose their bodies .my dil though being an southindian prefers to wear jeans with t-shirts at home..even when she wears a saree she wears it much below her navel and it looks odd when the sarees are transperant.it is worse when she wears pants or lungis since she wears them nearly 2 to 3 inches below navel and wears short and deep tops exposing her stomach and cleavage.i have told her not to dress like that and to wear salwars at home since many of our friends and relatives keep coming home and i feel very much uncomfortable with the way my dil dresses.but she doesnt listen and loves showing off her body.my son also doesent mind the way she dresses and tells me that it is very common nowadays and asks me not to bother.other than this she is fine and affectionate.my grand daughters also dress in the same way and go to parties and bring their friends [both boys and girls] home.when they or my dil's friends come home and see my dil they keep appreciating about her looks and she feels even more happy and enjoys their stares and my grand daughters also are very proud of their mother.i was shocked when i heard my grand daughters' friends openly appreciating my dil's navel and commenting that she has lesser strechmarks on her stomach when compared to their mothers. they were cooly talking in front of me and my son and telling my dil to get her navel pierced since it will look great. My son and grand daughters also seemed to like the idea and told her to get her navel pierced if she wants to .i dont know how my sisters friends and other relatives will react to this.i am feeling very upset and feel like going off to ashram.i dont mind her wearing sleeveless deepnecked or low backed blouses or wearing sarees below her navel when the sarees are not very transperant. but i find it annoying whenever she wears pants/lungis with shot tops openly exposing her navel and cleavage. what shall i do? shall i ask my sisters to talk to her or just keep quite ignoring the entire issue .kindly advise.

Is it ok for a guy to play the female lead?
We are making a short film, kind of home production. We are a group of 4 girls & 1 guy.The story has 4 male characters and 1 female character. My freind suggested that in that case let the guy play the female role and we girls wd play the 4 guy roles.
Is this a good idea?
If yes,shd he wear regular day clothes like skirt or salvar kamez or jeans...or shd we go all out and dress him real girlie in a saree or in a frilly dress with jew and make up?

What are you talking about? She is dressing like a normal girl. In India(and the Indian subcontinent), salwar kameez, sarees, lenghar etc are normal, everyday clothing for women and girls, and it so happens to be traditional. If you're thinking jeans and t-shirts etc as "normal" (by the way I interpret it, you seem think those are the only normal clothing on this earth), then maybe you should stop dressing like the only place you've ever been to is America/UK/Mars. Racial matter is not the thing of the past if people are continually discriminating against a person/people just because of the differences in skin colour, culture, nationality and religion. And what's wrong with traditions? They won't cause any problems so as long as you keep your business to yourself. It's not doing any harm. Shilpa Shetty is not causing any problems, nor does she have any problems with anyone else in the "Celebrity" Big Brother house. As said many times before, she's a victim of bullying and racial abuse by a few of the housemates who are embarrassing and giving a bad name to us Brits - we always prided ourselves for our multicultural society and racial integration. I believe that those other, rather grotesque-looking fellow housemates are treating Shilpa Shetty this way because they think they are "celebrities" and "famous" enough to get away with it, with "fans" backing them (er, yeah right!). I also believe that they're jealous because she's rich, beautiful and successful in her native country (by that I meant 'positively', unlike Jade 'Sshhit Perfume' Goody) and perhaps even with a fantastic likeable personality to go with her looks... maybe... I don't know her, but it’s possible. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not siding with her just because I’m Asian, because I’m English too. I’m not familiar with Shetty’s work (same with the other contestants) and apart from the above clip, I’ve never watched Big Brother in my entire life and I never will, for that matter, as it’s just the regular low-brow, classless, quick-fame-and-fortune, entertainment-for-the-stupid “reality” crap. I’m guessing the average viewer of Big Brother watches soaps like Eastenders, read celebrity-infatuated magazines and tabloids like The Sun and Closer, and is very uneducated and inexperienced (possibly, no wait…highly likely). One other thing [sprawlinvideos], why should one be accepted to a particular racial group? Shouldn’t one be accepted despite of their race? By the way, “Paki” does not mean “Pakistan”, it’s a racist expletive used to refer Asians especially in the UK, very much like the “N” word used in referral to people of African/Caribbean descent. This is all I have to say for now.

i dont like suits.plz also let me know if formal indian cotton kurti goes well with formal jeans in office?

In office, will Indian wear like salwar kameez or sarees be acceptable? Or will I have to buy trousers or jeans?

the dressing may be Tshirt-Jeans, Tops-Skirts, Saree(Indian dress), Chudidar (punjabi dress)........etc.

Plz don't say bikini or other clothes which exposes.

I need help finding online indian clothing stores! I want to find indian clothes. Not sarees but like stuff they wear in urban indian. Like there jeans, tees, shoes and jewelry.

Oh and also where can I find indian bangles online?
