How do you know which saree is made well?

What is the best material for them? Silk?

I am going to a wedding and everyone is wearing sarees and some are wearing kameez suits.

I see sarees for 0 and ones for 0. Will you look cheap in a cheaper one? Can anyone tell?

this poem is called the sun witness
here it goes:
Long ago a young girl
wearing a saffron colored saree
walked gracefully
on her way-
She moved the square stone
from the white
near dead grass.
By the lightning speed
of her black hand.
Silently, with her gaze,
she commanded the sun
to send its light
down upon everything,
even the white grass.
the sun accepted
her easy command
and came down with humility
Days after, she passed beggars in the street,
and tucked in her silk saree
to avoid their stains.
seeing this,
the sun hid behind clouds,
and rain came,
unexpectedly, like tears.

can you just help me to find the theme of this poem and analyze the theme? thanks! it would be great if it could be in a christians point of view on the poem

Assalamu alaikum wa ramathullahi wa baraktuh to everyone ^^

I am looking for regular/casual Afghani or Pakistani male Muslim wear.

I have been looking for some, but I can't find one that is not branded. I'm just looking for a simple one, I don't need an expensive one that's like 0.00 with lots of design and stuff on it, because I am only using it to daily wear (not to a party or special occasions). And wear it to go to Masjid and stuff..

I don't mind what brand it is actually, I just want something simple. Like plain blue, brown, black, grey, white, etc. Nothing with fancy design or expensive silk and cotton on it, none of that stuff.

I want to dress moderatley like the way Prophet Muhammad (SAW) dressed. Nothing expensive nothing fancy, just simple.

I want either Afghani or Pakistani casual wear. My friends have it, they are very nice and simple. I want one of those :), but sadly they got theirs from friends who came back from Afghanistan and Pakistan, so I don't know where else to get them but online..

Indian clothing is okay too, because I think they have similar clothing to Pakastani and Afghani (sorry if i am wrong).

I am a guy and I am 5'5..

Thank you for those who answered imformly and those that helped :D

Salam ^^
Oh, it can be Afghani or Pakistani style, it doesn't need to be from Afghanistan or Pakistan.

Is what I meant.

Something like that yes :D

@ GTR, also thank you for giving me the name of the style ^^

They are both stiched borders and never worn sarees, I actually bought them for myself but never got the chance to wear them, they are both heavily embroided and so formal. One is in pure silk and is pink and teh other one is like orange colour, very beautiful contrasted embroided on that one, I want to sell each for 0.00, what is the best way?

i'm Buddhist. from thailand
we have a lot of Muslim in our country .
but i think saris are for Hindus

My husband is going on a short trip to Bangalore.
Can anyone tell me the names of some good Sari Emporiums of Bangalore selling Karnataka Silk? My husband is ever scared of touts and dallals and unless provided names of shops, will not buy anything.
I saw some sites about Karnataka Silk but all quote price in Dollars. Can anyone give me an idea of their price range?
Thanks in anticipation.

I am an Englishman and I often wear sarees, salwar kameez and lenghas at home. I have a large collection of dresses, but mainly sarees along with blouses and petticoats.
I find sarees very comfortable to wear, no matter how warm or cold it is and no matter the type of cloth it is made of, chiffon, silk etc. I normally have the pallu pinned to my left shoulder, but sometimes let it slip off instead. I love the way the pleats are kicked out in front of me when I walk and the way it covers my whole body, very sensual to wear. I do not wear bra under blouse and also no undergarments are worn under petticoat. I have been wearing sarees now for number of years, do not understand why I read that Indian women find them uncomfortable to wear even on a daily basis, I certainly don't feel that way when I am wearing a saree.

It is a handicraft product on plain cloath which is basically silk of different quality like muga, tasar ,plain baluchori silk but the design is made through hand niddling all over the saree , with different colours of threads. It is very laborious and takes minimum 3-4 months to compleate the saree. After compleatin it looks very lukrative, passionable, and precious,as well as gorgious and sophisticated also ,because it is a part of fine arts. The art was basically originated from the place of 'TAGORE' , Santiniketan. It is a conventional work.

its been five year my maroon silk, shaded saree, has lost the original color, and now the color has been changed or spoiled. what can i do? if i get it colored , then from where, as i showed it to some drycleaners, they say it is useless now, but i dont juss wwant to thro that saree away.
